 One of my top priorities is to support building affordable housing for our working families. Hawaii has a huge shortage of affordable homes! Government has to be part of the solution.
Maui's goal is build 1,395 new homes per year. Maui News, Lokahi Pacific, Mokuhau Project December 2017: Blessing of Lokahi Pacific's Mokuhau Affordable Housing Subdivision in Happy Valley -- a 16-units, two story, three bedroom, two bath, housing project. The homes are in the mid $300,000 price range, for first-time homebuyers, with 25 - year affordable agreements. According to Lokahi Pacific this project took 20 years to build.
